Tooth chain (also known as silent chain or meshing chain) is a high-precision transmission chain that transmits power through the precise meshing of the chain plate tooth profile and the sprocket tooth groove. Its core features are:
• Multi-piece structure: Composed of multiple sets of meshing tooth chain plates (guide plates, inner plates, and outer plates) superimposed and connected by articulated pins.
• Line contact transmission: The tooth shape of the chain plate and the tooth surface of the sprocket form continuous line contact. Compared with the point contact of the roller chain, the transmission is more stable and has lower noise.
• Symmetrical meshing: The tooth shapes on both sides of the chain plate are symmetrically designed, allowing bidirectional transmission in both forward and reverse directions, and is suitable for scenarios with frequent commutation.
